Regional Relief and Recovery Fund

The Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF) provides liquidity support to businesses and not-for-profit organizations affected by the economic impacts of COVID-19. Eligible recipients are those unable to access other federal relief measures or who require additional support.

To provide targeted assistance to the communities we serve, Community Futures Middlesex has helped a range of businesses, including but not limited to retail shops, restaurants, and businesses of strategic importance.

Not-for-profit organizations that provide support services to small and medium-sized enterprises, and those engaging in commercial activities, are also eligible for liquidity support.

Community Futures Stream

The RRRF provides more than $1 million to Middlesex County for businesses and not-for-profit organizations in need, which is available at 0% interest, with no principal payments, until December 31, 2022.

These loans will be conditionally forgivable, as outlined below.

RRRF loans totalling $40,000 or less: Up to 25% of the loan (not to exceed $10,000) could be forgivable if the recipient has repaid 75% of the loan by December 31, 2022.

RRRF loans totalling more than $40,000 and up to $60,000: If the outstanding balance is repaid in full by December 31, 2022, up to 25% of the loan’s initial amount of $40,000 could be forgivable (to a maximum of $10,000), and up to 50% of the loan’s top-up amount of up to $20,000 could also be forgivable (to a maximum of $10,000).

Loan balances not repaid by December 31, 2022, are fully repayable. RRRF recipients must repay their remaining loan balance by December 31, 2025.

Any questions about the RRRF, or your eligibility to apply through Community Futures Middlesex, can be submitted by emailing info@cfmiddlesex.ca or calling (519) 641-6100.
