On Monday, Minister Tassi announced an investment of nearly $40 million over the next three years for southern Ontario’s network of Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs).
This continued investment will allow the 36 CFDCs and three CFDC associations in southern Ontario to continue using their regional knowledge to provide tailored on-the-ground support to the rural businesses, organizations, and communities they serve. This includes providing business counselling and access to capital as well as support for community economic development and strategic community economic planning.
The announcement was made at Brasserie Tuque de Broue Brewery Inc., a family-owned microbrewery, which received support through the Prescott-Russell CFDC (Société de développement communautaire Prescott-Russell). This support allowed the company to expand operations, increase sales and become a strong ambassador for the region.
Community Futures Middlesex is proud to see that our client ‘Violet’s of Strathroy‘ was recognized as a community futures client in western Ontario and a valued member of the Strathroy community in the official press release.
