Middlesex Youth Entrepreneur Initiative

Based on our current funding agreement with FedDev Ontario, youth entrepreneurship is one of the key priorities for investment. Through sponsorship provided by RBC and Middlesex County — with support from the Middlesex Workforce Development Partnership — Community Futures Middlesex is accepting intake for the Middlesex Youth Entrepreneur Initiative (MYEI).

About the Initiative

The MYEI will enroll Middlesex County youth in an entrepreneurship training program — delivered by GoForth Institute — to develop and refine their business skills. As outlined in the application form, applicants will communicate a feasible business idea or introduce their recently launched business. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 to 39, excluding those who turn 40 on or before December 31, 2021;
  • Reside in Middlesex County, except the City of London;
  • Have a feasible idea for a business not currently operating, OR
  • Have started a business no earlier than January 1, 2020; and
  • Complete and submit the application form.

To launch the MYEI, we hosted an information session on September 9, 2021. If you missed it, feel free to watch the video recording below for full details on how to apply. The dates and deadlines mentioned during the information session are no longer applicable.

There is no deadline to apply for the MYEI, but we will only accept applications until spots are no longer available.
