Community Futures (CF) Middlesex is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors representing the Municipalities of Lucan-Biddulph and Strathroy-Caradoc, Pat Van Geleuken and Kevin Boersma.

Pat Van Geleuken is a successful small business owner who is passionate about supporting local businesses and the viability of communities.   Pat founded the Lucan and Area Business Association (LABA) that eventually become the Community Economic Development Committee for the Township of Lucan-Biddulph.  She actively supports her community and is very familiar with the role of the community futures program having completed her first full-term on our Board of Directors and serving as its President/Chair from 2015-2017.    Her outstanding contributions were recognized through her addition to the Middlesex County Warden’s Honour Roll in 2021.

Kevin Boersma was born and raised on a cash-crop farm in Strathroy-Caradoc and now resides with his family in Adelaide-Metcalfe.    Kevin has been an employee of Mainstreet Credit Union for close to 25 years serving in roles of increasing responsibility and is currently the Senior Vice President of Advice and Operations.  He is based out of Strathroy branch of Mainstreet but oversees a team working at branches located across rural Middlesex, Chatham-Kent, Huron and Lambton Counties.   Kevin is strong believer in giving back to the community and has done so through coaching minor sports, board and committee involvements and as a member of local service clubs.

We extend a sincere thank you and welcome to Pat and Kevin as they become more fully engaged as newly appointed members of our Board.   We remain committed to the recruitment of additional members to join our Board of Directors and are currently looking for candidates from North Middlesex.  If you – or someone you know would be a good fit, feel free to contact us by emailing info@cfmiddlesex.ca or calling 519-641-6100.
